We are fortunate to have beautiful countryside and grazing fields surrounding our village, which many residents enjoy walking through with their dogs.
May we kindly remind all dog owners to pick up after their pets and take any bagged waste home with them. Dog fouling in fields can pose a serious health risk to livestock, particularly grazing cattle and sheep. Certain parasites and diseases carried in dog faeces can cause illness, miscarriage, and even death in farm animals.
Most dog owners are already considerate and responsible, and we thank them for helping to keep our footpaths and fields safe for everyone. By cleaning up after our dogs, we can all play a part in protecting local livestock, supporting our farmers, and keeping the countryside enjoyable for all.
Thank you for your cooperation.
