The future of the Tibberton Church Room discussion

6.30pm Monday 13th May 2024 at the Tibberton Church Room

The church room is the property of and managed by the Parochial Church Council (PCC), it is a unique heritage asset in the centre of the village, used by clubs, societies, a local toddler group as well as for church events and meetings.  The PCC pay each year for regular maintenance, upkeep and insurance of the church room, but as it is now over a hundred years old it could really do with some more significant updating.

The Parish Council and the Parochial Church council have been discussing whether effort should be put into grant applications to raise further funds to update this facility (possibly damp proofing, a new kitchen, audio visual facilities etc), or to simply carry on with just essential maintenance.

We are fortunate enough to have two nearby modern village hall facilities both of which can also be used for meetings and events.

The PCC and Parish council would therefore be interested to hear the views of users and parishioners.

Tibberton Parish Councill meeting will follow afterwards at 7.30pm
